Reporting and assessments

The ACRRM assessment program requires you to demonstrate safe, independent general practice in a rural or remote context. All assessments are developed and delivered by clinically active, rural and remote medical practitioners.

Assessment includes workplace based assessments and external standardised assessments. You can undertake most external standardised assessments remotely using online processes.

Assessments are completed progressively throughout training. You are required to successfully complete these assessments:

Assessment dates

Generally, assessments are offered twice each year. MSF, CBD, and Projects may be undertaken at any time. Some AST StAMPS are offered once a year.

View the upcoming assessment dates.

You must develop a Training Plan with the support of your Medical Educator to plan the best timing and sequence for your assessments. The plan will take into consideration your eligibility, experience, readiness to sit, and training time allowed on your training pathway.

You should carefully consider the information provided on the webpages for individual assessment types and the Handbook for Fellowship Assessment before submitting your application. Payment is required on enrolment for each assessment. If you withdraw from assessment after enrolment closing date, no refund will be made unless extenuating, unforeseen circumstances prevail.

All results are ratified by the ACRRM Board of Examiners prior to release. The result notification dates are found on the Dates and Enrolment webpage.

You will be advised by the College when your results are ready for viewing through My College Dashboard.
