Multi-Source Feedback

The Multi-Source Feedback (MSF) is a well-recognised, valid, and reliable method of assessing interpersonal and professional behaviour, development, and clinical skills.

MSF provides you with feedback from patients and colleagues.

The requirement for MSF is “satisfactory completion”. You will need to have completed and show evidence of:

  • MSF report covering the two components
  • a reflective exercise
  • discussion with a Medical Educator, and
  • remediation if required.

You must complete 12 months of training to be eligible for MSF.

ACRRM recommends that MSF is completed early in Primary Rural and Remote Training so you have the opportunity to learn from the feedback and implement any changes indicated. MSF should be the first assessment undertaken.

MSF is undertaken in a teaching post accredited for Primary Rural and Remote Training once you are established in the post.  A community primary care post is the most suitable environment.
